The brush arrived with the crushed hairs on the side and she did not brush well…

A truly great brush. I highly recommend. I believe the reason it is so inexpensive is that the bristles are rather short. They seem to be about a third of the size shorter than what a more expensive brush would be, but otherwise they operate in the same same way.

Not exactly Mason Pearson, my daughter took mine and I can’t figure out where she hid it so I’m now buying “look-alikes”. As I’ve had the original, the bristles aren’t comparable. These are bent and the feel of brushing your hair is very different. I suspect ANY brush here would be the same it’s not just this one. Brushes aren’t for cache (plus the handle is bare), they’re for improving the health of your hair so ask for (gift) or bite the bullet and get the Junior Mason Pearson – for kids, works perfectly for adults. Sorry vendor – you did a great job of replicating the look!

not sure what the real mason Pearson brush is like, but I’d say this is a very good brush!!

The brush has a good size and appearance, but the metal bristles are terribly hard. As soon as i ran it through my hair, it hurt my scalp. Combing my hair is painful.
